Room Reservation (EMS/25Live)

How It Works

  • EMS/ 25 Live is a one-way feed (currently) of all events that match the Query they create
  • Activating this integration will create a new Field in the Organization Registration form.

  • The ID entered in this field should match the ID number they have in their system
  • When an event is submitted in EMS/ 25 Live and matches the Query, the event will feed into Presence looking for the Org with the matching ID in the field, if there isn't a matching Organization, a new one will be created for them.
  • The event generated will have the Event Name, Host, Date/Time, and Location.
  • The event will appear in the responses as "Submitted"
CRITICAL: When setting up this integration for a new or existing campus, make sure that ALL existing Organizations have the EMS/25Live field filled out, if it isn't and an Organization submits an event into EMS/25Live it will create a duplicate

  • When Students enter their OWN events into EMS/ 25Live

Campus Setup

  • PSO running orientation will handle creating a new card in DevOps to begin the Room Reservation integration process
It is recommended to activate the integration first WITHOUT the feed to give ample time for the partner to enter the ID's into the existing Organizations
  • If you encounter an issue or have a question with a Room Reservation integration that you have not experienced before or do not know how to resolve, post in #presence-Happy_Product and the team will be able to assist you
It is important to have the MC set under the campus setting. All events imported will be under their name

  • What if the partner doesn't know what a query is?
  • What is a good example of a Query?
    • Adding a question that is "would you like to send to presence" or something along those lines
