Overview of Express Reports

Express Reports are pre-built data exports designed to collect commonly requested information from your campus platform.

They are available upon request by your institution’s Main Campus contact.

We currently offer eight types of Express Reports. Each report includes a standard set of columns (data points) that cannot be customized; however, all reports are delivered in an Excel file, so you can filter, sort, and summarize data using tools like Pivot Tables.

Upon request, you will need to indicate the Filters you would like:

  • For Single Time Reports, indicate:

    • Date Range

    • Active or All-time users

    • Exclude or Include Faculty/Staff

  • For Recurring Reports, indicate:

    • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually

      • Can provide all-time data or previous Day/Week/Month/Year

        • Weekly: can select which day of the week for the report to run

        • Monthly: can select which day of the month to run

        • Annually: can select which Month and Date to run

        • If the data is only from the previous Day/Week/Month/Year and has not changed since the last report, the report will not populate (most common with daily reports).

    • Active or All-time users

    • Exclude or Include Faculty/Staff

Access to Express Reports

Recurring Reports must be requested by the Main Campus contact at your institution. You can request Recurring Reports via the Chat function on the Admin Dashboard. Main Campus contacts can also let us know if certain staff members are authorized to request Recurring Reports without their permission.

If you would like an Express Report but do not know who the Main Campus contact at your institution is, you can ask for that information via Chat.

Campus Administrators must be granted the 'Manage Report Requests' permission before they can access Express Reports to run Single Time Reports, and this permission is not enabled by default. Campus Administrators who do not have Manage Report Requests can still use the standard Analytics page, but the downloadable Reports section will not be visible to them. Without this permission, direct access to the Reports page and Reports API is also blocked. Check out our resource on Granting & Removing Admin Access for detailed information on how to enable this permission!
