Grant CCO Access to Users

Grant CCO Access to Users

You should grant CCO access to anyone who manages points, service hours, skills, competencies, pathways, or experiences.

Only users with the appropriate CCO permissions can access the admin dashboard and manage these features.

Update a User’s CCO Permissions

  1. Hover over the left-hand menu and select People

  2. Locate the person you want to update.

  3. Click the three stacked dots, then select Edit

    • If you see Add as user, click it first. Only users can be granted admin and CCO access.

  4. Scroll to the Co-Curricular Features section.

  5. Toggle on the features you want the user to access.

  6. Click Save.

Co-Curricular Feature Permissions

Below is a breakdown of each available permission:

Manage Pathways

Allows users to create and manage rules for pathways and opportunities they have access to.

Manage Points

Allows users to create points and have Edit & Share access to all points.

Manage Student Opportunities

Allows users to grant opportunities directly to students.
Important: This permission is also required to manage Service Hours.

Manage Experiences

Allows users to create experiences and have Edit & Share access to all experiences.

Manage Competencies and Skills

Allows users to create competencies and skills and have Edit & Share access to all of them.

Recommended Permission Combinations

In most cases:

  • Anyone managing experiences, points, or pathways should also have Manage Student Opportunities enabled.

  • It is uncommon for a user to manage CCO content without also needing to grant those opportunities to students.

Notes on Student Access

Students generally should not have CCO management permissions enabled.

An exception may be student workers who support administrative workflows (for example, granting or redeeming points). In those cases, it is up to the admin whether to enable Manage Student Opportunities.

Important Service Hours Note

  • Manage Student Opportunities is the only permission that provides access to Service Hours.

  • If a user only needs access to Service Hours, enable Manage Student Opportunities.

  • If a user needs to manage experiences or other CCO features but not Service Hours, Service Hours access will still be included.
