Finance Tools: Overview

The Tools tab in Finance provides access to administrative actions that affect your budgets at a high level. These tools are typically used during key financial processes, such as starting a new budget cycle or adjusting how budgets behave.

Because these actions impact all budgets at once, they are usually managed by users with Finance permissions.

What you can do in the Tools tab

• Reset budgets
  Clears all budget balances to start a new budget cycle.
• Enable negative balances
  Allow budgets to go below $0 when expenses exceed available funds.

Important considerations

• Changes made in the Tools tab can affect multiple budgets at once.
