Organization Categories

Categories are used to create groupings of organizations. These groupings allow you to do assessment based on categories and can be used to shape the approval workflow on forms. Users of both the Admin Dashboard and the Student Portal can search for events and organizations related to their interests by using a Category filter to sort results!

Please note, only Campus Admins can create Organization Categories! If you do not have Campus Admin access, please reach out to your administrator for assistance or to request a new category.

From any screen, hover over the navigation bar on the left and select "Organizations".

Tip: Waivers can be assigned to individual organizations or events. You can also assign a waiver to an entire category of organizations and the waiver will be applied to every event hosted by an organization within this category!

Editing & Deactivating A Category

To Edit A Category

Click on the three stacked dots next to the Category you wish to edit and click on "Edit". This will re-open the Organization Category menu, allowing changes to be made to the name of the Category and/or the attached waiver.

To Deactivate A Category

If you would like to deactivate the Category you can click "Deactivate". Deactivated Categories can be reactivated at a later time. Once deactivated, the category will be removed from any active organization currently using that designation. The organizations themselves remain active and unchanged other than the removal of the deactivated category.

Please use caution when deactivating categories! You will no longer be able to filter data on the Analytics page using a deactivated category!
