Event RSVP

We're excited announce the new Event RSVP feature for Involve! Collect RSVPs for attendees from right inside the portal. Students select attending, maybe attending, or not attending giving you an idea ahead of time of expected attendees. You will need the edit event privilege in order to enable and manage events.

Get Event RSVP for your campus!

Your campus main contact can contact support to start using Event RSVP for your campus.

Enable RSVP for your event.

Create your event. Your event must be approved before you can enable RSVP.

1. Navigate to your event's page on the admin portal.

2. Select the RSVP tab ( ).

3. Select Enable RSVP ().

4. Customize your RSVP options.

• • Allow Maybe Response
  • Limit Number of RSVPs (leave blank for unlimited RSVPs)
  • Set RSVP deadline (leave blank to accept ongoing RSVPs)

5. Select SUBMIT.

Manage your event RSVPs from the RSVP tab.

• • View who RSVP’d on the RSVP tab of each event.
  • View check-ins vs RSVPs (see who RSVP’d and didn’t make it!).
  • Delete an RSVP.
  • Export a .csv file of RSVPs.
  • View the RSVP column on the attendees tab.

RSVP FAQs

Do we have to have RSVP on all of our events?

No, RSVP is turned on on a per event basis! This means all events by default will not have an RSVP option on the portal. 

Why can't I see RSVP on the student portal?

All events by default will not have an RSVP option on the portal. You will need to follow the steps above to enable RSVP.

Can I limit the number of spots available for an event?

Yes! You can set a limit and close RSVP once the limit is reached. If students are no longer able to attend, they can change their RSVP and free up another spot!

How can I make sure students know to RSVP for an event?

Customize your event registration form. Add an RSVP instruction field telling students how to RSVP! 

Can I still use an RSVP link?

Yes! You can continue to generate an RSVP button using your own custom link. Just maybe don't use them both at the same time.

Can I customize the RSVP options?

You can decide to include the Maybe Attending option. You will not be able to add custom responses.

Is this a good substitute for event registration?

Involve event RSVP is a great way to indicate how many folks will show up and to track RSVP vs attendance. If you need strict RSVP and event registration, continue to use the tools you are using!

Can I RSVP on the mobile app?

Mobile app RSVP is not yet available, students can RSVP on their web browser at this time.

Can community members RSVP?

You will be prompted to sign in when you RSVP, so only those with Involve accounts are able to RSVP.
